BERSET® 2720

BERSET® 2720

BERSET 2720 is a formaldehyde free crosslinker or insolubilizer for paper and paperboard coatings based on latex or protein binders. BERSET 2720 reacts rapidly during coating consolidation as water is removed from the coating and curing is complete as soon as the coating is dry, still on the machine. The curing is rapid under alkaline conditions with no need for elevated temperatures resulting in excellent wet rub properties.

BERSET® 2169

BERSET® 2169 is a blocked crosslinker. The partially blocked chemistry of BERSET® 2169 provides a stable viscosity during the coating color preparation. The reactivity of BERSET® 2169 is greatly accelerated during the drying process, thus resulting is high wet rub and wet pick resistance at the reel. BERSET® 2169 crosslinks all synthetic and natural binders, resulting in a high degree of wet rub and wet pick resistance off machine. However, as with all glyoxal based crosslinkers, BERSET® 2169 is the most efficient at crosslinking starch based coatings.
